North Star Farm’s U-Pick experience is more than just harvesting - it’s an invitation to slow down, savor the season, and reconnect with the land (and maybe a few sheep 🐑).
Set across 15 rolling acres in Franklin, NY, our no-spray, organically grown blueberries grow alongside seasonal U-Pick flowers from Misty Meadows Farm, a local flower farm bringing vibrant, pollinator-friendly blooms 🐝🌼 to North Star Farm for the upcoming season.
Come for the berries. Leave with flowers, fresh air, and dirt under your fingernails.
Bring your family 👨👩👧👦, a picnic blanket 🧺, and a sense of wonder.
We’ll provide the harvest.

⏰ Hours: 9am–Sunset, 7 days a week (weather permitting)

🫐 Blueberries:
- $20 small bucket (holds ~3 lbs.)
- $30 large bucket (holds ~6 lbs.)

📅 When does U-Pick begin?
Our U-Pick blueberry and flower seasons will open on dates TBD, depending on weather and crop conditions - usually the first week of July. Follow us on Instagram or join our email list for opening announcements 📣
⏰ What are your hours?
We’re open daily from 9am–Sunset, weather permitting.

🎒 Do I need to bring anything?
We provide picking buckets, but feel free to bring:
- 👒 A hat and sunscreen
- 👟 Closed-toe shoes
- 💧 A reusable water bottle
- 🪑 A blanket or camp chairs if you want to picnic
💲 How much does it cost?
Blueberries are $20 for a small bucket and $30 for a large bucket.
Flower pricing will be announced closer to the season 🌸
👶 Can I bring my kids?
Absolutely! U-Pick is family-friendly and perfect for all ages. Children must be supervised and taught to harvest with care ❤️
🐕 Can I bring my dog?
We love animals - but to protect our blueberries, flowers, sheep 🐑, and other guests, pets are not allowed on the farm. Thank you for helping keep the fields peaceful and safe.
🌿 Are your blueberries organic?
Yes! Our blueberry bushes are grown without sprays or synthetic inputs and are certified organic by NOFA-NY. We use low-intervention, regenerative practices that protect the land, pollinators 🐝, and people.
🌧️ What if it rains?
We close the fields during rain or wet conditions to protect plants and pathways. Follow @thenorthstarfarm on Instagram for weather updates.
♻️ What does “harvest with respect” mean?
It means remembering this is a living ecosystem, not a factory. Pause. Pick gently. Take only what you need. Treat the land like a partner, not a product.
👋 How do I know what to pick?
🫐 Blueberries: Look for deep blue berries that fall easily into your hand. If it resists, it’s not ready.
🌸 Flowers: Pick blooms that are open and vibrant, leaving younger buds for the next visitor.
