Our Farmer-In-Residence program offers emerging farmers free access to land and space to grow their business—without rent, fees, or equity requirements. In exchange, we ask for something far more meaningful: a spirit of reciprocity.

Have a clear vision and love for hands-on work

Grow or produce something that can add beauty, nourishment, or knowledge to our farm

Practice no-spray, organic, or regenerative methods

Are open to teaching and sharing

Want to be part of a collaborative ecosystem—not just a tenant on land

Instead of charging rent or taking equity, we ask our resident farmers to contribute meaningfully to the North Star community by:

Providing a discount on their products or services to guests of the farm

Leading a limited number of free workshops, tours, or demos for guests throughout the season

Engage with a spirit of reciprocity—to the land, to the farm, and to the community we’re building here

Our goal is mutual flourishing. When you thrive, the land thrives. And so do the people who visit it.
